Alberta is famous
for its incredible scenery.
The links in
this section illustrate some of the many areas in which we conduct
our hunts
The Calgary
Bow Zone is a private land hunting zone renowned world wide
for its record class deer. This is a productive hunting zone where
archery is the only legal method to hunt big game. It is 1 of the
2 areas in Alberta where archery hunts are allowed during the annual
rut without the usual incursion of rifle hunters.
The Crowsnest
Pass region lies near the north fork of the famous Oldman River,
and many Alberta species of big game make their way up and down
through this terrain, moving through the timber and fields of the
foothills at the foot of the Rockies, often following a variety
of drainage circuits and seasonal biological patterns.
The Kananaskis
area is between the first and second ranges of the Canadian Rocky
Mountains. This is a fabulously beautiful area in which we hunt
for elk, mule deer and whitetail.
The Porcupine
Hills area (Southwestern Alberta) contains both foothills and
mountain terrain. It is here that we conduct a large number of our
hunts for mule deer, elk and whitetail. This area consists of many
large private ranches, most consisting of 4,000+ acres. This is
a wonderful area for a traditional horseback hunt for serious mule
deer.
The Rocky
Mountain House area is well known for elk and moose hunting
in the province. Check out some of the beautiful fall pictures shot
in this territory during Alberta's big game hunting season. There
is also a lot of deer and wolf activity in this area.
The Waiparus
area is west and north of Calgary, Alberta's largest city. The western
boundary of this area is Banff National Park providing fabulous
backdrops for our numerous hunting camps. In this area we hunt rut
moose, mule deer, whitetail and wolves.
